Maura Beauty Queen

Maura has a groomer`s appt. in a few days and I decided to get all that loose hair ( So much shedding) and she turned out so pretty! Here`s a few pics.

 I found a way to get all the hair- get a brush and run it the opposite direction of the hair (fur).

 Her paws were really dirty but I just used dog conditioner and water, put it in a bottle and shook it then sprayed it on Maura`s coat. after that, I dried it with a towel and combed it out. (it being her fur)

Black Dog Syndrome and Pitbulls

I read a story about how so many black dogs at shelters are the first euthanized and last adopted.It is very sad because I think black dogs are very pretty and sleek-looking. The problem is that there is many more black dogs than multicolored or light-colored dogs in the world. People are pushed away from dark colored dogs because in many movies and in media the "bad" dogs seem to be black.

 Sad to hear isn`t it? I mean this would be one of the first dogs I go to.

Also, I feel like I need to talk about how Pitbulls get such a bad rap. Yes there are some that have attacked people and children and the dog gets blamed for it when actually it raised or bred to be vicious. These dogs also can be a "ticking time bomb" because they had been abused or mistreated so the dog gets confused or scared and lashes out. But Pitbulls are actually real sweethearts. I have a woman who walks hers by my house every day and it is so sweet to everyone- even children. Many people are intimidated by this breed of dog because the main place you see stories of this dog is on the media with it`s odds against it. My thought is when you see a story about a Pitbull being mean you should research it more to see the details of the story. I  think Pits are very sweet,loving, misunderstood dogs.
