Helping Shelter Dogs by Blogging!

Pedigree Foundation

For every post you put on your blog about this campaign from no to June 30th, the Pedigree Foundation will donate a 17 pound bag of food to a shelter. Only one bag per Blog! So blog, blog, blog!

On another subject, I haven`t been able to blog much because I was vacation and Maura had to spend 5 days at the house with the cone on alone. But every day my neighbor would come over and feed her and play with her!

Tucker the Escape Artist

Today my dad and I picked up this little guy. This is Tucker. Maura and I occasionally visit him. I recognized him at once and I caught him (after multiple attempts..) We called his owner and she was at work so we had to keep him for a few hours! He stayed in a pen in the front yard and was happy as could be. I don`t think he wanted to be out of his yard. He sort of collapsed onto me when I caught him. Maura was furious and barked her head off. I couldn`t pet both of them together because they didn`t get along. So I sat on the porch and just watched them. Tucker just stared at me and whined the whole time if I wasn`t petting him. Maura was just a brat and barked and paced. I took Tucker for a couple walks and gave him food and water. I got in the pen with him and he just rolled over and let me pet him for a long time! He`s such a calm and adorable dog!

                                                                        I`m the sweetest!

Adventure!

Today I brought Maura over to my other neighbors house and Maura has only been over there a couple of times. But today I let her roam free. Let me tell you- she LOVED it. Maura ran around, peed on everything and was just a crazy Corgi.I wanted to train her some so I left the gate ope that separates the yards. Then I made her stay, walked into my yard and called her to me. Our yards aren't small, so Maura was very tired when she reached me. Maura then saw that I had kicked the soccer ball into the other yard, so she ran to get it. After training and playing MAura was beat. I decided to let her run around in my neighbors yard while I fed her cats (inside the house of course). I walked into the house and one of her (neighbor) cats escaped. This gets funny. The cat (Rosie) saw Maura and hissed at her. Maura then ran up onto the porch and chased Rosie underneath the chairs and through the water bowl. Rosie made a dash for the garage and Maura couldn't keep up.Maura came back to me and I knew if Rosie was to come out of hiding (wherever she is) Maura would have to be gone. So to get Maura to follow me I had to make meowing noises and run up to my house. *Embarrasing*..........

                                                               On the perimeter.

                                                                WWWWEEEEE!!!

A few months ago I was at a Petsmart doing chalk drawings for an adoption event. Afterwards I went to look at all the dogs (and tried to convince my mom to let me get one, to no avail.) but there was a very sweet and innocent Pembroke Welsh Corgi and caught my eye. His name is Trae. I contacted Laurie at the Daily Corgi to see what I could do to get him adopted (in case he wasn`t adopted at the adoption fair.) She was generous and put his information and picture up on her blog. After about 3 months of waiting he got adopted!!!!!!! It felt great to help a dog find a home!

This is Trae.
